Christmas Time with Kids
I picked the Christmas Arts and Crafts Projects for Kids category to make a project from and here is what I came up with.
So, I still have 900+ of the 1000 glassine envelopes I ordered last year and I am always on the lookout for ways to use them up. I saw something like this on Pinterest and adapted it to fit my needs. We have lots of small kits come over during the holidays and having a quick craft prepared that they can make and take with them is always a good idea.
I pulled some patterned paper from my stash- I swear I am going to use all that stuff up! and a bag of embellishments I had on hand, some mini M&M's, the envelopes and adhesive. I did not use the punch pictured as the paper I used had a decorative edge to it already.
I cut the paper into strips using the pre-cut edge. Simple is what I am going for.
A small scoop of candy goes in the bag, then they get folded over as shown. I used my Tiny Attacher to secure them. The less glue we have to use the better in my opinion when it comes to a group of kids.
I applied a strip of double stick tape to the back of the paper, I will do this for all the paper before the party, and then all they have to do is remove the paper backing and apply over the edge of the envelope. I have a whole bag of misc embellies to use on the front.
Easy, peasy!
