Caribbean Crawl Layout

Scrapbook layout
I am still working on the layouts for our Caribbean Crawl trip back in 2014. I can't believe it has been 6 years! This trip was to celebrate our 25th anniversary. We had the most amazing time - 17 days of island hopping through the Caribbean. We started in San Juan and went all the way to Barbados.

Little Birdie
I was provided product from Little Birdie Crafts for this project. Have y'all ever checked out their stuff? It is pretty amazing. Y'all - their paper is HEAVY.  They also have some beautiful embellishments, chipboard pieces, and media options. This month at Designer Craft Connection we are hopping with Little Birdie. Be sure to hop over to the DCC blog and check out all the amazing projects.

Cruise Layout
I started by printing a 12x4 photo on my HP A646 photo printer. These are not sold by HP any longer, but you can pick them up on Amazon and scrapbook resale pages. This little thing is AMAZING. It prints 4x6, 5x7, AND 4x12 photos, as well as multi photos per page, passport photos, photo books, etc. I have had mine for about 10 years or so and it is still working great.

After printing my photo I adhered it to a sheet from the Aqua Medley pack and tore a border on each side of the photo. I love adding faux stitching to may projects and I put some here on both sides of the photo.

Chipboard title
I used bits ad pieces from several of the embellishment packs I received. For the chipboard title I used embossing powder.  The canvas doilies are so cute; I cut one in half and tucked it under the torn paper.  The paper pack includes a "fussy cut" sheet and the little butterflies on it were darlin', after cutting them out I added some sparkle with a glitter pen. The little "cherish" circle comes from the pack of double layered embellishments - but I only wanted the top layer for this layout.

Embellishments
To create some waves on my layout I used the pearl drops and the Metal Microbeads. I also added some little white art beads to fill in my waves. (see below)

Cruise embellishments
How cute is that? I love it and it doesn't add a lot of bulk to my layout. I am working hard to keep my layouts a little flatter these days so I can fir more than 8 in an album! I left this portion for last and then set the layout aside to dry.
