Who has a Harry Potter fan in the family? My little kid is crazy about Harry Potter. I am always looking for fun ways to include that theme in her gifts. It is so easy to etch wine glasses - be sure to give it a try.
How cute is this? This is a pretty simple project, you can have these done in under an hour.

I hope she likes these! I was never into the books but I did watch a few of the movies. They were so much fun- who remembers which one this was from?
Start by creating a cut file in Silhouette Studio then cut out on your Silhouette Cameo using etchmask®. Be sure to leave space around the design to cover the glass you don't want to etch. Cut a piece of etchmask® transfer sheet to slightly larger than your design and use this to apply the cut mask to the glass. Tape off any areas you think you might accidentally get etching creme on.
Apply etching creme and allow to sit for 15 minutes. Return excess creme back to the jar and rinse your project under cold running water. Don't worry - water deactivates the creme so it won't hurt your pipes.
I used Art-C Sparkling Glitter Paste from Momenta to color the etched portion of the glass. I am super happy with how it covered the etching and really made it stand out. I hope you give this a try - it is so fun and easy. Think of all the great gifts you can make!
