Monogramed Tea Towel

 

It's wedding season and I am getting prepared for all the fun handmade gifts to go out. I love how this cute monogrammed tea towel for a cute couple I know came out. It was so quick to make using Joy Iron on Letters.

I started with a pre-purchased towel with the absolutely cutest pom pom trim. I love pom pom trim! I think everything is better with a little pom pom trim added to it!! I selected the 3" Monogram font from Joy Iron-on Letters along with an ampersand and some hearts from other sets. 

It is so easy to color the letters to match your projects. My favorite method is to use VersaMagic ink, but you can also use dyes, spray inks, paints, - pretty much anything! After inking well I set the letters aside to dry. 

To make sure everything ends up where I want it I like to use my quilting ruler to measure out positions. Once I have everything in place I use heat resistant tape to secure the pieces before I iron. The tape will hold the pieces in place, but will leave no residue on the project. When you are done ironing you simply pull the tape off!

I like to use my ironing pad and my new Oliso iron so that I can work on a counter in my studio.

Halloween Candy Jar

I love to give away treats on any and all holidays and creative packaging makes them extra special. When I am short on time, I always turn to mason jars - they are easy to decorate, reusable, and who doesn't like to get a jar full of goodness?  I used Joy iron-on letters for this project - they are quick and easy to add to any project!

The amazing METAL RIBBON I picked up at Hobby Lobby - I am pretty enamored of this stuff at the moment! I also used  a piece of Deco Mesh left over from another project, some grosgrain ribbon and some twine.

For the tag I stamped the background with an a Background Basics stamp by Ann Butler for ClearSnap. These stamps are so flexible - I have used them on so many projects! Once I had the tag ready, I added my Joy Iron On Letters with craft glue rather than ironing them on since I was working on paper.  The fall leaf embellishment is also from Hobby Lobby.

I'm 1 Onesie

The Princess will be one very shortly (which I can't believe!) and of course she will need something to wear while eating cake. Out came my iron on letters from Joy.

I wanted to make something quick and easy, because I am pretty sure she will only be able to wear it this one time.

Here is the princess in her custom made onesie- and she is ready to eat some cake!

I picked up super cute onesie at Target and grabbed my Baby Monogram Letters and Numbers in Upper Case White. I dyed them to match the onesie using spray ink and ironed on following the instructions found HERE on the Joy website. There is not an apostrophe with the set, so I trimmed a tiny bit off the "1" to make one.
