Easy toddler sorting bins
Howdy y'all! We are all about sorting things at my house when the Princess is here. She absolutely loves these fun pasta pieces I picked up at the Indian Market a while back. Toddler Sorting Bins with interchangeable labels is a great way to keep her busy and entertained - and learn some new skills at the same time.

I started with three bins from the 9 Bin Carousel Rotating Organizer from Deflecto. I used the carousel as a desk top organizer (see it here) but I had 3 of the small bins left over. They are perfect for this little game!

Wide Double sided tape

I started by covering the bins with layers of fun patterned paper. Our princess has a propensity to pick at loose things. So I used some SUPER sticky double sided tape from Sparkle N Sprinkle to cover the entire back of the papers. Double sided tape works beautifully for attaching items to these bins.

Magnetic Sign Holders
Layered felt flowers cut with Eileen Hull's die from Sizzix decorate the front of the bins. I used hot glue to attach the VersaGrip™  Magnetic Sign Sign Holder inside each bin. I also used hot glue to attach the macaroni pieces to the labels before inserting them in the sign holders. My Sure Bonder Mini Detailed G

I die cut several sets of die cut labels so I can change out the things we are sorting. I dressed up the label edges with VersaMagic ink from Tsukineko and some faux stitching.

Here is a look at my project this month!
I have used the Seasonal Trees #680 for my layout. I love how flexible this stamp set is!!  My papers are Graphic 45 from the new Home Sweet Home collection.

I stamped and heat embossed the image using Cappuccino EP and then colored the trunk with Tombow Markers. For the leaves, I layered two different colors of ink and then trimmed it out.

I also used the Journal Mixed Media #606 for this layout - both on the chipboard above and on the cream cardstock behind my photos.  I used Moss EP to give the chipboard pieces some extra texture. The cute little bits on top of the chipboard are from Maya Road.

I added a bit of stitching to the center of my layout for some visual interest. The Alpha stickers are from Carta Bella.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today! I really appreciate it. I have had a lot going here at the house, we lost one of our kitties and our older black lab within two weeks of each other. I am hoping to get back my crafting mojo back pretty soon.

Last month the winner came from Marie's blog.  Wonder which Designer contains the Grand Prize winner this month?

Here is a look at my project for this month
This photo has a pearl finish and it is impossible to take a good photo of it!  My papers are from American Crafts, Hambly Studios, and Studio Calico. The die cut stickers are from Bo Bunny.

My sentiment is from the Ellie Retail Therapy #679 and I heat embossed with Black Detail EP171. In order to change the wording to what I wanted, I masked the word "we're" with washi tape before I inked the stamp. Remove the washi tape before stamping and the word is gone! I then added some very small alpha stickers to add the word "she's".
This sentiment is from the Camera Life #620 set and I heat embossed with Raspberry Tart EP451. I wanted to add a little more texture to my layout, so I used Faber-Castell® Whipped Spackle and a stencil to create the heart. When it is was dry I inked it with Galaxy Gold VersaMagic. I used foam tape to give the sentiment a little pop.

Glittered Glass Ornament - 99+ Handmade Gift Ideas Bloghop

Hi everyone, this week I am participating in an awesome blog hop with some amazing, talented bloggers- 99+ Handmade Holiday Gifts

I am so happy to say that I am ahead of the game this year on my Christmas planning! I have been working on some fun and creative ornaments this year and this is the first one.

I used a large glass ornament, about 5" in diameter to start with. I used Ornament Glue from Sparkle N Sprinkle to coat the inside, then added a mix of glitters : extra fine, vintage glass, and mica powder.

I used StazOn inks and stamps to stamp in a line around the outside of the ornament, and added a velvet bow for a touch of vintage whimsey.

Be sure to check out all the amazing Handmade Gifts in the blog hop- this is such a talented group of artists!

Merry Christmas - Layout with Sparkle N Sprinkle

Good evening everyone, I hope you have had a wonderful crafty weekend and are ready to greet the week with cheer!  Today I have a layout made with some wonderful products from Sparkle N Sprinkle.

My papers are My Mind's Eye, a collection from a couple of years ago. I pulled some chipboards, flowers and ribbons from my stash to put my layout together.

I applied 2 1/2" Tear-ific Tape to cardstock, cut my sentiment on my Cameo, applied Japanese Lacquer EP and heat set.

After coloring my large star from Technique Tuesday with Gelatos, I randomly stamped it with the Journal Mixed Media stamp set and VersaMark, and heat embossed with Pear Star EP. The sentiment here is from Camera Life, and I have heat embossed it with Black Detail EP.

I love adding little bits of lace and ribbon to my layouts, and these styles that are new in the shop at Sparkle N Sprinkle are perfect for my style!

Thanks so much for stopping by today, and have a wonderful week!

Winter? Bring it on! Sparkle N Sprinkle Layout

Hi everyone, today I want to share a layout I made using the new stamp set Finn's Scarf DIGI#672 for Sparkle N Sprinkle.

I used my Silhouette Cameo's Print and Cut feature first, then used my PITT® Pastel Pencils from Faber-Castell to color the image. My papers are the new Lawn Fawn Snow Day.

I heat embossed my chipboard snowflakes with Mediterranean Star EP, then again with Opaline EP on top. I added stripes of sparkle on my border paper by applying 1/4" Tear-ific Tape, then burnishing with Seaspray GL.
I used a stencil and molding past on the background, then sprinkled parts of it with Arctic EP. I also stamped on the background with Flourishes 1 #516, and heat embossed with Arctic EP.

After coloring with m pastel pencils, I added a few highlights with a white pen.

Here are a few of the products I used on my layout:
