DIY Spring Decor with Rinea

Over on the Designer Crafts Connection we are hoping with Rinea® Foiled Papers and there are some wonderful projects to see. One of my favorite ways to use Rinea® is to make flowers using dies. This turned out to be a fun spring decor project - by re-using an old project!

This is the project that TRULY keeps on giving! I made this amazing project in the Jillibean Soup booth at Creativation back in January.  It had some super cute faux greenery and we got to choose stickers to put in the middle.

I started off by die cutting flowers in a variety of colors. I used the Frosted Foil Variety Pack and the
Lavender/Gold Solid pack. My die is from Eileen Hull - I love her dies! This one is a favorite - it makes the most versatile flowers.

I like to shape the layers before I stack them together - that's just easier for me. Shaping them after you stack will work too - so do what works best for you! I also like to layer light in the front to dark in the back -but do whatever works for your project. I used brads from my stash to keep everything together once assembled.

I used my low temp glue gun to adhere everything to the embroidery hoop, including a few fabric leaves.

To finish off the project I added a chipboard piece from The Dusty Attic. I decided to leave it naked to match the embroidery hoop. Bam! Project number three with this same piece!

To see all the amazing projects hop on over to the Designer Crafts Connection blog.
