DIY Upcycled Easter Basket

Even though my kids are long grown I still love making Easter Baskets for them every year. IT just makes me happy! I have a whole tub of old baskets in the attic so instead of buying new ones this year I decided to upcycle some of the old ones I already have. This is a fun and easy DIY project.

I am joining a fun group of designer friends for a blog hop using Expo International Trims. Now y'all know I have a thing for ribbon. I LOVE ribbon. I have used Expo Trims in other projects over the years and they are such good quality. I buy them by the roll!!

There is a giveaway! Who wants to win this amazing package of trims? To enter head over to the Expo International Facebook page.

Supplies:
I adhered the Pom Pom Fringe to the top edge and the Ric Rac Trim to the bottom edge using my glue gun. I find it is best to work in small sections when using a low temp glue. Be sure to start at the side of the basket, rather than in the middle of the front. I swear it took me years to learn that!!

To add an extra layer of sassy I pulled out some Easter patterned paper and trimmed this super cute little chick out. I used my new Slice Precision Cutter and it was so easy to get right on the edge of the chick. Even the little tiny feet came out clean!

One of my all time favorite projects in this quilt I made for the princess. Look how cute she was! I can't believe how much she has changed in a few short years. To see how I made this quilt check out my post here.
