Embossed Friendship Card

fast card
OK y'all - I am not much of a card maker. Cards are really a challenge for me because I never feel like I can put enough stuff on there! They are so small!! I did manage to make a cute one for a friend. I love how this turned out - I embossed a piece of Rinea Foiled Paper using a Tim Holtz 3-D Texture Fade. Which is a fancy name for an embossing folder.

This month the design team from Rinea® is collaborating and with Poppystamps. They have some very cute stamps and dies. For my project I chose the 2002 Double Stitch Scalloped Rectangle Frames. I really liked how versatile these would be for me since I normally make 12x12 layouts.

die cutting
I started by cutting a 4x6 sheet of Turquoise/Gold Glossy Solid Foiled Paper using the second to the largest die in the set. I used the turquoise side for the outer frame and I used the gold side to emboss.

embossed foil
This embossing folder gives MEGA texture. Be sure to pay attention to which way you place the foiled paper to make sure you get the raised side where you want it.

Die cut frame
Look at the super cute double stitch lines on the outer frame- my favorite aspect of the die set from Poppystamps. I love that little bit of detail. 💓💓

Embossed card
After I adhered the frame and embossed center to my card front I stamped a quick sentiment, punched and matted it with some older Fiskars punches, then die cut a couple of leaves and some flower petals using Eileen Hull dies. Done!
