I had so much fun decorating this fun Easter Tree. I used several items from the Dollar Tree stores. It was so easy to transform things into perfect ornaments for my tree.
First up are these cute berry sprays that I used in the topper. I knew I wanted something that would fill in some space and I knew I didn't want to spend a fortune on it. I grabbed 6 of these and stuck them right in the tree behind my giant bow.
These pearlized eggs are also from Dollar Tree. I wanted to be able to stick them upright in the tree topper, so a little bit of construction was required.
I enlarged the hole in the bottom just enough to fit a slender dowel rod through. Use a low temp glue gun to adhere the dowel in place. In order to get them to dry in the right position I placed the egg on it's side and propped up the dowel rod until the glue was set. I added a fluffy bow made from seam binding (seen above) and then put the top half of the egg back on.
How unbelievably cute are these little bunnies! OMGoodness y'all I am in love with them. These were originally on sticks to add to flower arrangements (I think). I cut the stick off and went to work.
I used hot glue to attach a folded pipe cleaner on the backs of each one. That way I could wrap the pipe cleaner around a limb to attach it to the tree. So quick and easy y'all.
Last up are these cute little bunnies. I had to keep checking back for them because evidently I started decorating for Easter too early and they were not out yet! I used a pipe cleaner wrapped around the neck of the bunny (sounds so gruesome doesn't it!!) to attach them to the tree. This one ended up front and center in the topper- I attached her to the giant bow and added them to the tree.
I also made a super cute egg garland using glittered eggs from Dollar Tree. I have a whole post on how to make this one, so be sure to check it out here.
