Frosted Designs Sketch w/Twist Challenge Take Note

Hi everyone,I hope you have had
a wonderful week and are ready for the weekend!
It is my turn to host the challenge over

This month we have a fabulous sketch with a twist.

The sketch has been provided by Lisa Hidy, my wonderful
team mate!! Love it!!!
~AND~
The TWIST is to use BUTTONS AND BLING on your layout.
You gotta use both!

Here is a look at my take on the sketch
My papers are Pebbles, Inc., and I have also used Dusty Attic & UmWow chippies,
Wendi Vecchi Stamps, Memories Mist spray ink, Heidi Swapp Stencil,

I used bling under my title and the arrow on the right to call attention to my photo.
My buttons are little, tiny ones on the corner of my kraft tag under the photos.
I did a lot of misting, stenciling, painting, stamping, etc on my background.

Soooo,, if you haven't ordered a whole bunch of the Lindy's Stamp Gang Magicals Sets- you should hop right over to the Frosted Designs Store and do that. Because these things are AWESOME. For this look, I traced a stencil, then mixed a little bit of water with the Magicals powder and painted right on the paper.
A-maz-ing! (you have to sing that!)

For the flowers I stamped with Wendi Vecchi's new stamps (love them!) and
colored with Lindy's Stamp Gang Magicals. I mixed the dry powder with a small amount
of water, then painted like watercolor.

Here you can see my Buttons & bling- I love these little, tiny buttons!
I used Sparkle N Sprinkle Tuscan Sun EP on my title chippie.

My DD2  and the two other cuties in the photos were Camp Counselors at
Girl Scout camp for YEARS! They are great friends- with the strangest Camp Names :o)

You have until March 27th to link up your entry over on the blog.
So be sure to join in the fun!

The Deconstucted Layout #1

Howdy everyone in blog land!
It is day #13 of The Caribbean Crawl 2014
and today we are in Antigua. We have hired a private yacht to
tour us around to a few islands so we are with a very small party the
next few days.

Today is the very first in a new series I will be doing for Frosted Designs
Have you ever seen a layout and went,,
"I wonder how they made that?"
The Deconstructed Layout will feature a tutorial on one element of a layout,
showing step outs on how that one element was done.

Here is the first layout with tutorial,,
Now,, who has ever seen Anita make a layout with a plain sheet of white cardstock as the base???
Anybody??? Nope- I don't think I have ever done it before.
The little bit of pattern paper I used is from the Shades of Spring Kit
flowers are Prima, Stamps are Wendi Vecchi, and chipboard is Dusty Attic.

To make the awesome bricks below my photo, I started with Molding Paste and a stencil.
When that was dry, I inked the paste straight from the ink pads using
the Squeezed Lemonade Distress Ink from the Shades of Spring Kit.

Next I sprinkled dry powder from Lindy's Stamp Gang- Industrial Chic Magicals Set
right on top using a dry paintbrush. VERY LITTLE powder is needed. I then spritzed with
water to get the color to show up. Super cool- huh?

Then I cut the individual bricks out and glued them down. I used a brush marker to outline them.

How did I get them so straight? Well,,,, I am so glad you asked.
I almost never use washi tape on layouts- but I use it ALL THE TIME
for holding things in place, marking my place, and for marking locations on layouts.
If you look at this photo, then the top photo- you can see how much difference the
black outline on the bricks helps- it really makes them pop!

Thanks so much for stopping by today to see me!

Roomies- Frosted Designs Season Of Stars Kit

Good morning everyone in blogland!
Today is day #11 of The Caribbean Crawl and I am in St. Croix today
doing some shopping and some snorkeling!
My favorite kind of day!

I have a layout to share with you using the Season of Stars Kit from

Here is a look at my project

Soooo, it is pretty rare that I make a layout with this much white space on it!
I have had this sketch saved in my ideas folder for YEARS and I am just
now getting around to using it!

I inked the chippies with a sand color ink, then highlighted the edges
with the white pen and faux stitching.

Love these little journal cards that were included in the kit!
My background stamp is Wendy Vecchi.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Have a wonderful week

Fly Away with Authentique

Good morning everyone.
Have you been over to check out the
new CHALLENGE at The Crafty Scrapper??

This month the challenge is to use
MASKS or STENCILS

You can create any project using any masks or stencils
and we would love to see it!

Here is my project,,,,
For this layout I have used new Authentique Papers Elegant.
Who loves the Quatrefoil pattern besides me?? I am hoping it is this years hexagon :o)

To create my mask, I used my Cameo and cut this pattern from scratch paper.
I used Wendi Vecchi's Embossing Paste, which I colored with Gelatos® to stencil the pattern on.
These fabulous wings are from Maya Road, and I have used several
embossing powders and glitters on them.
I used Dylusions Lemon Peel  for the heart, Maya Road alphas and rhinestone button.

Brads and bling from October Afternoon, Queen and Co, Teresa Collins and others.

I don't buy  lot of stamps, but I think I have every one of Wendi Vecchi's-
her sayings are amazing!

One winner will receive 2 new masks from Ranger!!

Thanks for stopping by today!
