Moments Like This - Sketches In Thyme

Hi everyone,, how is your week going?

It has been a busy one here.

One of my friends hot a new heart on Sunday-

yes he had a heart transplant - we are so happy for him.

Please send good thoughts for my friend Bill 

for him to have a wonderful recovery!

Today I want so share a layout that I made using a sketch from Sketches In Thyme 

and some new Prima papers.

I am so in love with the new Prima lines!!

I layered papers and embellishments from the Lyric line.

My chipboard is from Dusty Attic and I used Viva Decor glitter and paper pens on it. 

My chipboard is from Technique Tuesday and I used a Creative Imaginations 

rub-on to top it off. I am loving those Creative Memories Hexagon punches I 

picked up for $3 at a yard sale a few weeks ago!!

 These super cute brads are all from Prima too, as are the stamps in the 

corner - but they are super old! I am trying to use those stamps I 

bought I swear!!

My Funny Valentine- Sketches In Thyme Guest Maven

Howdy everyone,, how is your week going?

Have you  seen any great stuff from CHA that you just can't live without?

I have been drooling over so many things - it may break my budget!

Today I have my take on Sketches In Thyme #100 and this 

week it is a two page layout. I generally do two pagers unless I only

have enough photos for one. 

 

I started with white Bazzill and added PP and die cut stickers from Basic Grey's True Love. I also used Gelatos®, Prima stencil, Twine, Tsukineko inks, and all my adhesive is from Glue Dots®. I used Micro Dots for the banner, Pop-Up Dots to give my circle die cuts some dimension, and Ultra Thin Dots for everything else. The scallop circle punch is from Fiskars.

These really cute little banner pieces were on the die-cut sheer. I added them to the paper, put a line of Micro Glue Dots® across the top and layered on two pieces of twine from The Twinery.

For the color on the background, I used a Prima stencil and mixed my Bubble Gum Gelatos® with a little water in a mister to make a spray.  You can find the tutorial for it Here. 

After misting I used Guava, Bubble Gum and Red Cherry Gelatos® to make a line across the bottom of both pages, then used my finger to blend all the colors together.

For the heart on this side, once I had sprayed the stencil on the other page, I picked the stencil up and carefully flipped it upside down to get an impression from the ink left on the stencil.

Sorry my page looks all wavy! The one thing I don't like about spray inks - they wrinkle my paper up.

Tabletop Football - Sketches In Thyme #99

Today I have another sketch from Sketches In Thyme and

I had a lot of fun with this one. 

These photos were very spur of the moment, we were waiting on our

dinner to be delivered and my DD2 and I decided to play

tabletop football with the little paper that was wrapped around the napkins.

I guess you never outgrow some things!

I used Glitz papers, aphlas, and die cut stickers for this layout along with a couple of doilies, some ribbon, bling, and chipboard and my Powder Puff inks from Quick Quotes.

I used my Cricut (Birthday Bash) to cut the banner, using two layers and added it on top of ruffles doilies. I used my Gelatos to color the edges of the doily. The ribbon is actually printed on the other side, but I just wanted the burlap so I flipped it over and used a Prima clear stamp on it. The bling on the banner is from Basic Grey.

I used Teal Metal and Blue Metal Gelatos® combined to color the chipboard and added some silver pearls I got  from the $$ bin at Michaels.

Smile - Sketches In Thyme Guest Maven

Howdy fellow bloggers - are you ready for the weekend? 

I sure am! I have a list a mile long of things to do. 

This month I am so lucky to be participating as a Guest Maven at

Sketches In Thyme and this is the first sketch I was given

a little more linear than I normally than I normally pick, but I really thought

it looked fun! Here is my take on it,,

A big yahoo for me - I used papers that I got in a class kit over 2 years ago! I never finished the class project because it never really appealed to me, but I loved the papers! The blue polka dot is from Lush, and everything else is from Graphic 45. The kraft doily, lace, and chipboard title are Maya Road, the rub-on is Creative Imaginations, Flowers are Prima, bling is Recollections.

I colored my title with Oche Gelatos® and outlined it with my Stampers Big Brush Pen #274.

The journal spot is from a book of them I bought - I can't for the life of me remember

 who makes them! The ribbon is from Maya Road.
