Steampunk Wall Decor with Smoothfoam

Howdy to everyone in blogland! Today I have some fun wall decor to share with you.

I saw something link this at a local retail store, but it was priced at more money than I am willing to spend for something I can make myself!  So I pulled out some Smoothfoam and went to work.

I wanted something small, so I started with a 12x12 SCrapbook page Mount and cut it down to three 5.5" squares using a craft knife. To see a tutorial on this by Julie McGuffee check it out here.

I traced my cut shape onto the back of 6.5 x 6.5 cardstock, snipped the corners and adhered to each block.

For this block I heat embossed Creative Embellishments chipboard pieces with Sparkle N Sprinkle EP. I adhered them over a small piece of MD Hobby gold metal.

For this block I used Whipped Spackle and a Tim Holtz stencil on the background, added another chipboard piece from Creative Embellishments, and some die cuts from the Kaisercraft paper pad I used to cover the blocks.

For the last block I ran a piece of MD Hobby & Craft Metal Sheet Roll (Gold) through my Cuttlebug with an embossing folder.  I inked the metal piece with StazOn and added another chipboard piece.

Products used:
Kaisercraft papers; Be-YOU-tiful & Storyteller
Creative Embellishments chipboard pieces
Sparkle N Sprinkle Embossing Powders
Eileen Hull Embossing Folder
MD Hobby & Craft; Metal Sheet Roll & Hobby Shears
Tsukineko Inks: StazOn Black, VersaMagic Midnight Black, VersaMark
Adhesive
heat gun
craft knife

The 12 Tags of Christmas Day #3

Good morning everyone! Today is day #3 over at The Crafty Scrapper for our 12 Tags of Christmas and I have another tag to share with you.

I am not normally a tag maker, I am more of a 12x12 pg kinda girl - there is way more room to work with on 12x12 after all! But I am pretty happy with how my tags came out.

This tag came together very quickly! Other than the drying time for the embossing paste, it took me less than 5 minutes to pull this tag together. So even if you are in a hurry, you can create a fabulous tag for a gift!

I started by applying some texture to the top and sides using a stencil and Wendy Vecchi Embossing Paste, then inked around the sides and added a few accents with my White Signo Pen.

I stamped my background image using VersaMark, then applied chalk in multiple colors for a subdued effect.  I added my sentiment using Black StazOn ink, and lots of ribbons and a button at the top to finish it off.

Be sure to check The Crafty Scrapper Blog everyday as we will have a new tag to share with you.

Thanks so much for stopping by today- have a wonderful week!

Peace on Earth Stamped Frame

Good morning everyone, I hope you are having a

Happy Thanksgiving!

Today I want to share a fun project I made using a product from Deflecto Craft- Superior Image® Beveled Edge Sign Holder 5x7. This Frame comes apart so that you can easily insert whatever you like inside, then reattach the two pieces. Super easy to switch out the insert when needed.

I knew as soon as I saw it that I wanted to stamp on it. I decided to stamp in layers since the frame was clear acrylic. The graphic in the frame is from the Silhouette Store.

I used three different colors of StazOn inks, so that I could see what I was doing I placed a piece of kraft cardstock underneath the acrylic.

I stamped all the way around the top edge of the frame using Moonlight and used my heat gut to help dry it.

On the back panel of the frame, I stamped using Cotton White then Azure StazOn slightly off set from the first image.

I love the way the layers of snowflakes look when both sides of the frame are put back together! I added some bling to the front of the frame for some extra dimension.

Be sure to check out all the fabulous ideas from the Deflecto USA Ambassador Design Team on our Facebook Page and Pinterest Boards to see some other fabulous ideas.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and have a fabulous holiday weekend!

Time of Your Life- Sparkle N Sprinkle

Good morning everyone!
It is a rainy day here in Dallas and I plan on getting in some
quality crafting time- after I finish my taxes- blech!

Today I have another project to share for Sparkle N Sprinkle.
I am having so much fun with these fabulous products- but I
think the hubs is getting a little tired of having the entire house
covered in glitter :o)

Here is a look at my project today,,,
I have used Teresa Collins Papers and embellies for my layout,
along with Creative Embellishments chipboard.

I used the new EP's Raspberry Tart and Mixed Media Copper Flame
as well as Pearl on my chipboard frame.

I sprayed my background with Iridescent Memories Mist- I am so in love with this stuff!!
I used brushable glue and Crystal Ice on my flowers. That is Teal Velveteen under my quote.

This is Black Detail EP and the Crackle Background Stamp- it gives amazingly clear detail!!

I stamped the sentiment from Ellie the Elephant across the bottom of my layout.
My inks at Tsukineko. I used my sewing machine to add some stitching, and my Cameo to
cut this background shape.

Happy Campers with Sparkle N Sprinkle

Howdy Blogging Buddies!
Is it almost spring?? Are we all ready for spring??
I am!! What about you??

Today I have a new DT Project for Sparkle N Sprinkle to share
This is my 3rd Girl Scout Troop at our Annual Spring Camp.
I miss these days- and these girls!
The big kid there in the middle is DD2, the two little ones on either side of her are my
BFFs daughters. I can't get over how little they were!
They are both Sophomores in high school this year!
My papers and die cut stickers are Basic Grey- old and new.
Alpha stickers are Simple Stories.
I created the stamped background by stamping the brocade pattern from
#398Brocade Backgrounds with VersaMark, then brushing Pearl chalk
over it. The chipboard piece here is Blue Fern Studios and I used
EP440 Mojito,   and EP137 Shimmer on it.

I am so lovin' these 3D Foam Stars from Scrapbook Adhesives- they are awesome!
I burnished them with GM2007 Reflections

I inked this chipboard word and while wet I covered in EP137 Shimmer.
Sorry about the lighting on this- With the shimmery background
AND the glitter on the word my camera just did not want to focus
and I had to go straight up manual!

For more detailed instructions on this layout please

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
Have a wonderful week!

Bo Bunny mini album for The Crafty Scrapper

Good morning everyone!
We are finally home from The Caribbean Crawl 2014.
17 days of island hopping is a lot!
Now to edit the photos and decide what to scrap!

Today I have a super cute little album made with new papers from Bo Bunny
and a Maya Road chipboard album. Papers and album are both
available at The Crafty Scrapper

Lots of Maya Road goodness going on here on the cover-
the chipboard album itself, alphas, birdcage, wood heart, hexagons,
and chippie butterfly are all from Maya Road.
I have used a variety of embossing powders on the hexagons
to add depth and texture.

The papers are new Bo Bunny Primrose and they are just as cute as they can be!!
The words here and the chipboard "mats" that I used for all my photos
are all from Maya Road.

A little bling from Want2Scrap, a little vintage Prima, and a
swirly chipboard from Maya Road on these pages.

On these pages I fussy cut the flowers, frames, butterflies, and leaves from
the sheets of patterned paper, and layered them together to create
these decorations.

The back of the album has a journal tag and a fussy cut butterfly layered on.
I left little spaces through out the album to write a few words.
Instead of paint I used my Tsukineko VersaMagic Ink Pads to color the larger
chipboard pieces of the album- faster and less messy than paint~!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
Be sure to stop by the store and pick up some
of this fabulous Bo Bunny Primrose paper
for yourself!

Sweet 16 Birthday Party - Sparkle N Sprinkle new stamp set!

Howdy blogging buddies!
I am so happy to say that we have POWER again!
Wow- 36 hours without it, and we were ready for it to come back.

Of course, it came back on the exact second that I unboxed the
brand new, really expensive, non-returnable generator that I had just bought!
Thank you very much!

Today I want to share a project that I made using some fabulous
Sparkle N Sprinkle products including the new stamp set Geraniums

I have used MME papers - I am so totally in love with these two lines!
I also used Prima, Sizzix, EK Success, Tsukineko, Spellbinders, Stampin' Up,
and some random chipboard from my stash.

To coat my chipboard I used a new product from Sparkle N Sprinkle - Magic Speckle.
You can see my tutorial on it here

For the edge of my doily I used SNS Brushable Glue and Celestial Glitter

I cut the leaf branches from a Sticker Sheet and then burnished my glitter on.
For the chipboard flowers I painted them then added Cloud Nine Glitter while wet.

Here is a close up of the chipboard with Magic Speckle.

For mu journal spot, I cut with a Spellbinders Label die, then used a complimentary
ink to stamp my background images. I stamped my sentiment in black next.

To see a list of all supplies used and detailed instructions

Christmas Layout - SNS

Hi everyone in blogland!
Are you counting the days until the Black Friday sales?
I am so happy to report that I am finished with my Christmas shopping!
It is a lot easier now that the kids are grown, I admit.

I am not a chronological scrapbooker, I scrap whatever photo I feel like picking up.
So these days I am working on some very old photos from when my girls were very little!

My papers for this project are from Bo Bunny.
I also used some Maya Road, Spellbinders, EK Success punch, Prima, and a
bunch of stuff from my stash.

I used my Cricut E2 and Sticker paper to create this embellishment, then burnished with Sonic Silver GL.
My flowers were accented by coating with Brushable Glue and Crystal Ice GL.

The chipboard pieces were painted with white acrylic, while wet I sprinkled with Starfire GL.

These small roses, and the others like them on my project are from I Am Roses
they have some awesome flowers!

For this photo frame and the red punched border along the bottom of the page, I applied Tear-ific-Tape to my cardstock, die cut the image, removed the backing paper and then burnished with my glitter.
Easy peasy! For complete instructions on the project, see my gallery

I am linking up at the following challenges;
4 Crafty Chics - Snowflakes
I Am Roses - 2 flowers (the red and white small roses)
